Cohesity SmartFiles Administration Training

Cohesity SmartFiles Administration is a two-day, instructor-led technical
course focused on teaching IT professionals how to use Cohesity SmartFiles
to store, protect, and search their data.

After an overview of the Cohesity Data Cloud platform interface and its
features, students will learn key SmartFiles concepts and common
administrative workflows. Lab access is included with this course and
expires six months after being assigned.

Course Highlights:

Instructor-led demonstrations of common workflows, including creating and
protecting Cohesity Views and external NAS tiering.
Hands-on labs for creating and protecting Cohesity Views.
Practical exercises for migrating SMB and NFS NAS data to a Cohesity View.
Hands-on experience replicating and archiving a Cohesity View.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:

Identify key Cohesity SmartFiles features.
Recognize the primary use cases enabled by SmartFiles.
Create, protect, archive, and recover Cohesity View data.
Migrate existing data to a Cohesity View.
Configure storage domains and understand their available configuration
options.
Perform NAS data migration and data-tiering workflows.
Configure CloudArchive, CloudRetrieve, replication, and CloudTier.
Apply encryption, access management, authentication, RBAC, and data
compliance controls.
Monitor SmartFiles operations using audit logs, reports, GUI tools, and CLI
tools.
Perform basic troubleshooting using common SmartFiles tools, examples, and
checklists.

Prerequisite Skills

Prior experience managing NAS or other file and object services.
Basic Linux, Windows, and VMware system administration skills.
Basic Layer 2 networking knowledge and familiarity with cloud and S3
